The largest island in Lake Nicaragua is Ometepe. We will begin our journey to the island, also a World Biosphere Reserve, by visiting a Pre-Columbian museum to learn more about the island's indigenous existence. Our next stop will be the Charco Verde Natural Reserve, where we will go along the paths that lead to the Charco Verde Lagoon, where we will learn about the area's flora and fauna and the Chico Largo mythology. Lunch will be in the Santo Domingo area. After, we'll cool off in the refreshing waters of Ojo de Agua, two natural spring water pools that are also famed for their therapeutic properties.
